William Hunt held many town offices, including tithingman, fenceviewer, hogreave, constable, selectman, moderator of town meeting, Representative, and Deacon, and is last mentioned in 1765. William Hunt of Boston & Braintree was a partner in the Land Bank of 1740. Resided on Commercial St. East Braintree, near Quincy Ave. south side, where he kept a tavern.
